for As-Yet Uncommissioned Research
If you face the likelihood that you will have to conduct
research against any one of an identifiable set of targets, but you do not know
when that will happen, it might be useful to develop a summary of the potential
target, and, most importantly, where you can locate data on it if and when you need it. Consider using the
following form to conduct that sort of advance work.
This form actually captures some preliminary research
efforts. In doing this, you spend a limited amount of time determining where information on your target will probably be when you eventually need it. You do not
collect it now. However, if and when you need to start collecting that data, you will already have an idea of where it
