Establishing Your CI Needs

Establishing Your CI Needs

  • Identify targets for your end user and yourself.

  • Determine what specific CI you or your end users need.

  • Establish who will get and use the finished CI.

  • If there are several assignments, decide which is most important and must be done first. Also identify those that will not be done by the CI unit, whether because of personnel and financial constraints, because of ethical issues, and so forth.

  • Decide when you or your end user needs the CI for it to be useful.

  • Review your firm's CI needs in light of the results of the other phases, as well as in light of changes in your firm and its competitive environment.
